VicRoads: New Rules from 9 November 2009

VicRoads has introduced some road rule changes effective from 9 November 2009.

Some of the changes relate to the use of mobile phone while driving. It is now prohibited to use the phone except to make or receive a phone call while driving, provided that the phone "is secured in a commercially designed holder fixed to the vehicle or it can be operated by the driver without touching any part of the phone".
